We all know layoffs are far from over but with no communication from the leadership (if we can even call them that), all we can do is guess. That raises tensions, increases stress, and ki-ls morale. None of that would be happening if there was more transparency from the top about what is going to happen. I wish they respected us enough to keep us in the loop instead of the dark.

No worries, retirements are automatic. Alan calculates what his bonus is going to be, then he knows how many will be retiring. Best of luck to all.
What is included in the early retirement packages? I know they were giving it out a lot in 2021 and a hand full of people took it.
Has anyone heard of the early retirement package ? Thoughts ?
You don't need a Harvard MBA to celebrate a quick win by moving back office to India.
Cheap. Expeced. Typical. Unoriginal.
We forgot how to do customer service in the USA a long time ago but fortunately no one expects it anymore anyway. Now we strive for temporary profits using accounting gimmicks that will lift the corporate officer's bonuses and make them wealthy individuals.
The second a company moves any of its operations, be it R&D, support, or others into a low cost region such as India, the quality of said operation will massively decline.
While there is some talent in India (duh, 1.4 billion people, so Avaya is bound to pick up some talent), the vast majority of the current workforce in India simply are not on the same professional/technical level as employees elsewhere. We all know this!
This has been my experience with 3 other past companies, in which I saw noticeable quality decline when management decided to outsource to that specific low cost region.
It's a recipe of contradictions.
✓ NA-L has power position. He helped hide assets that allowed for BK.
✓ Creating jobs in India helps his sales region. Drives regional incentives. Avaya su-ked Ireland dry of incentives and is now tossing Ireland to the curb
✓ Avaya "stickiness" in clients (what is often referred to as huge base) it's driven by US-government clients. The clients that are very slow to move. However, every thing Avaya does is in the face of the US Government, from a Global leadership team anchored in Dubai, to the excessive % of jobs being created in Argentina & India. Ireland is a US friendly economy and an economic allie. But NA-L has his eye on his middle eastern empire growing via India.
This is not sustainable
In the short term, it will satisfy the PE bean counters. In the mid term, it will self implode
Push to move jobs to india how is that in benefit of us goverment? None of 1200 Indian employee pay usa taxeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhaYO6cvYts
I've been doing nothing for last 9 months, no sales no motivation to sell, just waiting for my severance package, who should I ask to get it besides my manager who is a comedy joke
Bro, don't go crazy. It's a dead company. If you are not India-based, you are in the crosshair. It is what it is. Instead prepare for the future.
I'm actually lining up my next gig for September-October, so when (not If) I get laid off, I can get that severance and smoothly transition to my next role.
Also for the love of god, don't go to these BS all hands to expect some clarity. As a matter fact, just don't attend. Use the time to work on your resume instead.
It is a holding company.
Period. They owe no one no information.
Employees enabled this. Employees choose not to speak up. That's the psychology that Apollo and Avaya corrupt leaders banked upon. The PE Takeover could have been averted. But the dutiful employees played along.
And here you are. Zero voice. Zero rights. Holding company. And the johnny come latelys ...and people like SS, DA get rich.
It is clear that CEO and management are just servants of owners. They drove to chapter 11. I bet they had other opions
“Open, honest and transparent” my a-s!
Don't loath the secrecy, embrace it. Anything Alan has said has been lies. Embrace the silence as the only truth you'll get.
