In the event of a layoff are we able to bring over other former employees who were laid off to new companies? I feel like this should be an obvious yes since we both would no longer be Schwab employees but figured I'd check with the more experienced people

@bip+1o4JZDsa This is for a fact wrong, it's paid out in lump sum if you find new employment
Just remember if you get laid off it’s 60 days notice and you get paid for two months. If you take a new job, it stops that money from coming in, so just be aware.
You would know if there are any legal ramifications to working at a competitor after being laid off. Not that it matters much, if I were laid off I'd be taking a month or two-long trip to another country to enjoy life without work anyway.
depends on the level, and, if they have a non compete, also depends on the state, for example CA doesnt enforce non competes.
Usually it's the senior MD level and up who have a set waiting period to work with a competitor company - Everyone below that level is free.
Former?
Fu-k that.
I already have a new position lined up, I’m going to convince them to come with me.
