My team has 7 contractors and 5 FTE. How the layoff begin calculated in that case?

in a typical scenario, they are the first ones to go since they are an extension of your team.
on my team, contractors just don’t get their contracts extended or renewed, and they aren’t offered FTE roles. so while it’s not technically a layoff, they still won’t have a job at schwab when their contract ends
Yes contractors are the easiest cost savings. No severance. Just one email or phone call does it all.
