I'm not sure about other teams, but we can't afford to lose more people. We've already had to pick up work from those who were let go in the past several layoffs and I refuse to add any more to my already overflowing plate. I'll rather quit and most other people on my team feel the same way. I think this latest major layoff, if it really happens, will have some unexpected consequences for Avaya.

Also, they have significantly increased the # of employees in India. So overall #s are skewed.

""We are definitely increasing our headcount in India. You will see an increase (of employees) in the excess of 20% over the next couple of years," Alan Masarek, global CEO, Avaya Technologies told ETTelecom.

The so called #'s will never be fully available.
In US the WARN Act only requires filing of #s PER STATE if over 50 in any given state. So, they have focused on keeping it just under 50 in the dense states to avoid having to go on record.
Ireland is different. It's required to report.
How do you think someone doing nothing (but embarrassing Avaya) living Salt Lake City always survives? Because they are too focused on dwindling down #s in NJ, Texas, California, etc. Especially CA where employees are expensive to keep due to employment laws.
does anyone have the following numbers from Avaya termination events?
# of employee Avaya August 2022 worldwide=
# of employee terminated USA September 2022=
# of employee terminated USA March 2023 =209
# of employee terminated Ireland August 2023=
