i understand the uncertainty is putting a lot of pressure on people, but what is the point in perpetuating that by writing made up sh1t on this site? the amount of the utter cr@p being posted here in the last week has hit new heights!

Looks like this is the first merger experience for lot of folks here. I have been through a few and I am not at all surprised by lack of information. That’s how things are done in case of mergers. You will only know about the the actual numbers and dates only after the lay off is done. Also please don’t think that it is done once and dusted. It will happen over and over again till some kind of profitability is reached. I survived multiple rounds of lay offs in a merger but not the last one where they closed my entire division. That’s how I ended up in VMware. It will be nerve wrecking.
Don’t complain about rubbish on this site. Complain about the rubbish coming from our inept and woke leadership who dug the hole we are all now in!

Is there any possibility FTC will block the deal? Why have not they approved yet, it has been so long? Looks like it could be blocked like the Qualcomm deal. Heard Lina Khan is almost done finalizing a case to block the deal, its coming in next 2 weeks. They got some big companies supporting the conglomerate effect, several big customers of VMware are against the deal. Let's see!
Lack of transparency is causing more and more people to speculate. It will only increase until D Day.
What is the made up BS? The Business Insider article? Or the actual experience from previous acquisitions? We have friends in the industry who can confirm this and so far articles have turned out to be accurate. Of course times will be trying. People are simply trying to arm others with information. What’s wrong with knowing in advance so you can prepare better?
