At least he understands the business and would have continued to a much, much better culture. With the total lack of transparency here in the company now and just a toxic culture with no one trying to change it, I'm already looking. Productivity has to be low and I think everyone knows what the Pulse survey will say.....

I have not and have witnessed poor performers that are well connected go. Do you deny this has happened? Try harder? What is the exact criteria of being awarded? You know there is not one. Keep it up and I will embarrass your idol even more as I have plenty.

JK is far too tribal. Take a look at the beauty contest he calls Pinnacles. Zero criteria other than whatever he decides. His ego is a weakness and hurts morale outside his large circle.
He has also supported many boondoggles that are just rewards to his cronies disguised as legit business expense. He thinks he is the smartest guy in any room and most the time that is just not the case. He is smart for sure and good with customers . He also at least communicates with the sales organization so I will give due credit.
Jerry doesn't need Mike to come back. He runs circles around him. Just need to get rid of DG and team Cisco
Mike? The one who ki-led Research at YB? Who pushed ActiveScale which even WD didn't want to use? The one who lied to employees, stock holders and the press about how MAMR was sooooooo much better. He came from sales. He didn't know anything. Now he's investing in China's auto insurance. Not the brightest. Or even honest.
I was there, have moved on since and thank god not in storage. There were mistakes made by both administrations. But the beginning of the end was when Sanjay left after a year, siphoned the SanDisk talent, which was followed by some bad personnel decisions by Mike, and then DG brought in Rob who would have had to immediately scrub the org top to bottom but didn't. So lots of mistakes, but it would have required perfect execution to make SanDisk + WD fulfill its potential. Lots of blame to go around.
lol, Mike and Milligan bought SNDK at the top and lost HDD market share. These two are the worst partner in WDC history. DG is better than his previous one since he at least didn't make a big mistake. Although he can't immediately fix the travails created by ex-CEO.
Mike C had his tribe and yes he knows HDD much better than DG and his stooges he also sat back and watched much boondoggle and waste occurrences. Mike C Jim W and John V drove Maxtor to the ground and had to fire sale it to STX. Hard pass.
I liked Mike but if I had his money, I wouldn't be working at all.
