How Can Current Management "Team" Have So Few Morals??

Unfortunately it's hard to feel relieved if you didn't get the axe since the folks who survived the cuts this week will end up doing all the work of the people who got laid off. For example, Crown PM's worked a typical 45-50 hour week forever; this was no problem as it was part of the gig. In the last round of layoffs however, the management "team" decided that it was ethically right to give the remaining PM's the work of those no longer there - which equated to a 65+ hour work week for the same pay, which has remained for the last 3 years. My heart goes out to the many great employees still working those hours but everyone has their limits & eventually they will join the countless others who have decided to leave Crown in the past few years (which happened voluntarily very rarely until the last 4-5 years). How can the Crown management "team" now be this devoid of any morals - what the he-l happened and how could it possibly have gone this sideways so fast??

“In my former group, only women over 40 were cut.“

How is this relevant? People who were cut were young, old, male, female, black, white etc. There is no need to paint a certain group as the victim, everyone was affected equally. Let’s try to focus on the real issues…

I offloaded all my personal stuff to Google drive on Wednesday, then this morning I got an email from Enterprise security with a spreadsheet listing out the file names for everything I took asking me to confirm that I didn't take IP (I didn't), I replied yes and then shut down so I don't know what's going to happen from there. Oh well.

You can bank on lawsuits coming over this whole fiasco. There were some over the COVID firings, as some exemptions were granted and others intentionally denied.

I was given no direction, no information and could not even forward myself the FAQS, paystubs, personal receipts or anything from my computer. On top of that ZERO direction to sign off/hand-off/communicate or put any type of OOO reply.

I was so disappointed and shocked at how this was handled.

Fyi they have already posted jobs as of today on linkedin for positions they just cut for lower pay and benefits.

Ageism?
They basically hiring back same jobs for less monies and benefits.

I wasn't asked to put up an OOO or hand over any work but I'm putting one up that basically says "I'm not here anymore, contact my ex boss"

Was anyone else that was let go asked to set an OOO or handoff work to others? I wasn’t. My projects will just be in limbo. My teammates that are staying haven’t been instructed to pick up our work or how to move forward. Meanwhile, I have vendor documents coming in and I’m like oh well. Let it all crash.

I get the question, but at this point does anyone care how Crown deals with "it"?

I'm curious how they will face thier customers. Who's gonna fix broken sites, address landlord issues, or even check in construction at towers. Probably gonna be rough while Brown Castle is getting sued by everyone for failure to maintain thier contractual obligations to customers, tenants, and landlords.

Brown Castle has no business in the tower business. Sell those pesky towers to someone who can manage like SBA or ATC.

60 hours of work… but OT will probably be frozen. Fun stuff.
