Has anyone noticed a strange repetition on the Linked In posts from CCI staff laid off today? “After ## years, I am sad to say that the 15% RIF at Crown Castle has led to me become Opentowork. I am extremely grateful…” How does that happen?

Maybe if y’all worked a little harder instead of complaining y’all wouldn’t have to use a script. This is on YOU.
I didn't get a script either, and had I, I sure as heck wouldn't have used it.
They stopped distributing the scripts because people started to notice that it’ was company was propaganda. So stupid.
When were you given this template? I got one PDF that had a brief description of the severance while also asking for my personal email, and no other communication on what to do or what to expect moving forward.
I was given a template with 2-3 options on it. I chose not to announce it at all. I have something lined up. I don’t need to put anything out there.
Writing was on the wall for years at this point, ever since they stopped being employee focused.
No script was provided, at least not to me or my team. Some of us do have a little pride for the company we used to work for. Layoffs were inevitable. The writing was on the wall at the beginning of the year. It was only a matter of time. And yes, I was someone that was let go after many years of service.
I’m surprised that I haven’t seen more of these posts on LinkedIn. So far any 3.
They gave us the suggested verbiage
It’s a script from Crown…. Amazing teams… when one door closes another opens”. Same script, a bit different each time.
LinkedIn is a corporate sunshine and roses version of Facebook. No one is going to say the truth that they got fired and need help feeding their kids. Future employers read the posts. People need to at least appear grateful for being fired while letting others know they need help finding a job. The “after X many of years” is basically saying “this place did this to me after I put in service with them for a really long time…and they don’t value their employees.
It's basically a template people follow when they see others are sharing it. Human psychology.
