3M employee health decline

Ever since the last round of cuts, I have seen emails at all hours of the day (and night); additionally, I keep hearing employees from plants and from corporate suddenly talking about their declining health. This doesn't seem like just normal results of corporate cuts, and I hope those still at the company think seriously about whether it is still a good fit for them or not. I'd love to hear how people are doing and hear your stories, and I truly wish all well.

My mental health is shot after the last few years. However, it's my fault. 3M lets me leave everyday and I come back the following. Stockholm Syndrome at its' finest.

If you're an adult and notice this condition have cojones to quit. That's all! You need to take control of your own lives people! My approach to 3m was: who the he-l are you to tell me what to do ! Accepted PiP for not taking the jab and didn't do anything except for sugar coating the weekly meetings, and they believed in it! It is only a job!

No employee should have to work in a toxic work environment. Working in a toxic work environment makes people sick. All employers should make sure their employees are not working with toxic managers and/or in a toxic work environment. The 3M executive team has toxic leaders so it is not surprising toxicity is accepted if not encouraged at the next management level.

Don't quit before you sue your employer, if you have proof that your employer forced you to take an unsafe, experimental product that can be identified as the cause of your declining health.

Set boundaries and stick to them. This is mostly a US thing, and the company will take anything and everything you let it, up to and including your livelihood. Do your best, act ethically and know your worth. Please don't 'quiet quit' because that will put more on those who are still left and trying to make this work.

It will just be the same, probably worse, the longer you survive. Don't worry, US employees will all be cut over time. It is all about implementing AI and outsourcing any remaining labor to the cheapest part of the world, and there aren't many levels of protection. Keep your skills relevant, resume updated, and network open and sell any stock if you still own any.

Not the best worded post, but point taken. Anyone concerned about their health because of a company should leave that company. I think Gibbons alluded to this in one of his recent town halls, and I believe the message has already gotten out and reached large institutional investors, so no need on this site.
