It's a pay to play ranking, nothing more.
I think someone got the names of the CEOs for the Fortune 50, put them all in a box, shook them up, and voila, Raghu made #14.
Otherwise, if they had bothered to interview any VMware customer or employee, Magoo would have made the top 5 of the most UN-influential CEOs.
I have worked for several companies that are on that list. I can't belive that some of those guys are still CEOs. I can't think of anything that I care about less than C levels. I think I rather hear about what dog won the dog show than what some CEO is doing.
Inside that humble exterior, the guy has no shame
He should be #1… or #0…. I forget, I’ve been too busy focusing on the main thing and that is all zeroes and ones.
Just goes to show how relevant the CRN publication is. After more than a decade in this industry, I have yet to see an insightful, well researched article in this so-called piece of industry publication.
