Retiree Insurance Settlement

My father worked for Xerox and retired ~20 years ago. I also worked for Xerox for 33 years and got caught up in the HCL thingy a few years back.

His 'Lifetime' Health insurance was cancelled a few years ago by Xerox, but now I see that Xerox lost a lawsuit that covered about 900 retirees.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find anything else about it save for this article that I need to subscribe to.

Anyone know anymore? TIA, TTX

Not sure but all current employee had to sign an arbitration agreement. Options were to sign, separate, or, if logged in on the cutoff date your acceptance was noted. If any issues with employment separation the course of action is arbitration. You can no longer sue for any unethical employment separation. I am seriously looking because I have no confidence in any manager today.

In 1986 Xerox offered an enhanced early retirement to eligible employees to encourage early retirement. If your father retired prior to 1986, he probably wasn't eligible. Later they stopped providing the enhanced benefits. Search for Vollmer vs Xerox. Look for casetext.com.
