Unless DG is allowed and willing to share with us, none of us would know what's going on.
Both Kioxia and WD need each other to strengthen their existence as a commodity product manufacturer.
The less players the better in this case, just like HDD duopoly. Seagate did us a favor by practically ki-led Maxtor and Quantum. Hynix already did us a favor by wasting their almost 10 billions on practically worthless Solidigm. Micron NAND/SSD business is propped by DRAM just like Hynix. Kioxia nor WD don't have DRAM and they already co-develop, so there's no other choices if they want to survive.
