Supply Chain at BD is the worst

Today, I submitted my resignation as I have become increasingly unhappy working at BD. Joining this company has proven to be the worst decision I've made. I feel sorry for those working in Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Distribution. The people in charge of these areas, starting with the person in Boston, exhibit bullying behavior. Their attempt to lead by using sports jargon does not address the fundamental issues with the company culture. They often blame others for delayed projects, instead of taking responsibility themselves. It's frustrating how clueless they are. The high turnover and low morale across the company are a direct result of their actions. The quality leadership is equally disappointing. They make decisions without seeking input from the team members on site, which is unhelpful for everyone involved. Their lack of support and imposition of unreasonable deadlines drive people away. It's astonishing that they fail to recognize this. The previous Quality leader disregarded the seriousness of COVID and insisted that everyone return to unsanitary warehouses. She herself fell ill and nearly died from the virus. Now, she continues to exert control through her new position of "special quality projects", displaying bullying behavior. The current Quality leader lacks relevant experience and his decisions lack logic. The quality department is being managed by former lawyers and individuals with a sales mentality. However, they excel at securing budgets and promotions for themselves each year. Good performance reviews hold no value at BD, which discourages employees from working hard and going the extra mile. The company culture has significantly deteriorated since Tom assumed leadership, and employees are no longer treated fairly. Outsiders are favored over loyal employees and receive significantly higher pay. It's absurd that loyalty at BD translates to earning less than new hires. The company's focus seems to be on superficial matters such as LGBTQ pronouns and other woke agendas, rather than addressing the core issues.

If you are contemplating joining BD, I strongly advise against it.

…and just like that this company proves why it’s a supply chain joke in the industry. Data breeches, HIPPA violations with bully antics, fear mongering, worse for women in supply chain, herding cats everyday. Sad excuse for xLT. Sorry I can’t be a “Yes girl, or smile on camera.” I’m busy doing life in heels, grow a pair and speak your truth ladies cause I grew a set, literally.

Set ups are treated great. Are always on phones doing nothing blaming operators for everything taking pictures of girls.

I am so sorry to hear that. I loved BD in the '80s-90s, although I was fired by a racist manager. It was just her ignorance -- being a foreigner. I worked at RTP and Sparks. Gave 100 percent. Still loyal. I was hoping it had gotten better.

Brian S? Is this coming from BD HR Department? Trying to publicly shame former employees for leaving the company and exposing the truth? Just proof of how toxic these people are.

This is the unfortunate truth. But it’s not just supply chain, it’s throughout the company including corporate. Waiting for the right opportunity to come along to leave.
