Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Give me a place to stand

Give me a place to stand and I shall move the earth!
Archimedes of Syracuse Greek philosopher, engineer, and mathematician boldly said at 217 BC. It was true then and still true today. If you are not and actively standing up for what is right at Belk stores today, then you are a part of the problem. So to all RVPs Belk new outlet stores managers, Don the con Hendricks, it is better to keep silent and let Belk associates think you are a stupid fool then to open your mount in morning staff meetings and remove all doubt!

Sophocles was a Greek playwright 405 bc already knew about Belk and this nasty and dirty business and styles when he wrote: “It is rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud! Belk has honor for sure. Belk and Sycamore Partners top level executives have honor among thieves!

We talk about Stupid is as stupid does. Belk does not plan to fail. Belk just fail to have a solid business plans and logical thinking to stand on! If you can’t understand this beautiful or metaphor analogy then tell me who is the Forrest Gump at Belk stores now! It is not painful to be blind and stupid at Belk, it is painful not to endure Belk company and its CEOs or top executives with no plans to stand and move the earth and make angels wept at Belk? Hello Albert Einstein! Mind over matter at Belk. We don’t mind and you don’t matter if Belk fails again to infinity!

Well, your analogy is lacking. Archimedes was talking about using levers and as any fule knows, yes in theory, a lever arm long enough can exert a HUGE force. But that requires some place far enough away to place the fulcrum, i.e. you need room to grow. I don't see that happening ....

So, +1 on effort, -5 on applying Classic Greek to modern problems. Don't give up your day job.
