Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Never forget

Don’t forget that CHK donated $50k to try to stop the medical herb from passing. This was before they went bankrupt. That shows you where their priorities were. Not towards the stakeholders or the employees, but rather towards their own biased ideologies. What have you never forgot?

I remember when they took all of our accumulated sick leave away without any compensation and made sick time included in fixed amount of paid time off. I lost 6 months of accumulated sick leave without any compensation so if I have a major illness, I am screwed. Thank you HR for being total a--holes.

Who could forget that a company that proudly discusses diversity and inclusion has an all white executive male team. How many people of color do you have in leadership positions? How many females do you have in leadership roles? They only give females support roles and everyone recognizes that these token employees.

I haven’t forgot a lot of things. Too many examples to mention of hypocrisy, unethical behavior, the cover ups, the lies, the good ole boy system of scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours, racialism, misogyny, and the list goes on and on. Yet here I am, because I need a paycheck and I need to support my family.

I’ll never forget how HR chose to keep turning a blind eye to all the issues coming out of South Texas involving ole DD and his protector. That let me know everything I needed to know about this company and the HR team and really who they were here to assist.

Be interesting when report on 1-29-2020 incident comes out and hopefully TB, SB, Dan Lapasss finally have to answer questions in court. Be interesting to see how long Nic protects them.

It's pretty FU'ed that Nic was selected as CEO when he ran the master finance plan that brought Chesapeake into bankruptcy. He obviously has some dirt on the BOD that will send some of them to prison if he doesn't get what he wants. His hand selected VP's are the industry's biggest losers.

I’ll never forget that the same individual who financially advised Aubrey and watched the company go from its peak to filing bankruptcy was also selected to be the CEO of the company now. We still hear the same narrative of how great we are and we watch the company shrink play by play. They continue to put lipstick on this failing pig.

I remember when you actually had to work. Now it's come into the office, sit there for 10 hours not doing anything. Well it's eat breakfast then sit there on my phone until its time for starbucks. Then come back sit there some more. Now its gym time and then lunch. Come back sit there until time to go home. Zero productivity. Or you can say you worked from home doing stuff around the house. Glad I got my remodeling done while working from home. Saved money on child care and gas while doing the same thing if I came into the office.... NOTHING...

I am just happy that I am not working there anymore. There is a better life after Chesapeake. They tried to take my values away. Little did they know that I don't sacrifice my values for anyone. I can look at myself in the mirror and have no regrets because I didn't sacrifice my values or su-k up to anyone. The leaders can't say this.

I remember when they took all of our company issued phones away at corporate and made us use our own personal ones as part of the BYOD program. Then gave us zero compensation for requiring us to use our personal phones for work. In hindsight, that should have been a class action suit.

I’ve never forgot how they told us that the analyst just didn’t understand our business model and we were doing everything right and they would soon see. Then they gave us options to buy stocks for our bonus only to see the price continue to fall all the way to zero. I guarantee you that the executives knew the plans to file bankruptcy and gave those out knowing that they would be worthless.
