GF is sinking because of wrong, boot lickers and incompetent leaders eating it daily. There was no reason for GF to sink this low. It was definitely avoidable. We all feel ashamed to tell outside that we are GF employees. Not sure how long company will survive, whose employees feel so bad about company.

Don't call them "leaders". The essence of leadership is readiness of others to voluntarily follow you. I haven't heard a single good word about Benyon, for instance. Nobody wants to follow him given a choice.
What we have is managers, not leaders.
Why is everyone surprised? GF has same IBM managements who drove IBM hardware business under water. There's no innovation in leadership. IBM sank while other tech companies thrived.
You are correct but the one flaw in your logic is that if they made good sound business decisions they could make themselves even wealthier. So yea they are just bad at conducting and understanding business and have been fumbling and tripping face first into cement nearly the entire time
I don't understand what people on these boards think most CEOs are? The leaders aren't incompetent. They only care about enriching themselves. If you had the ability to set yourself and family up with generational wealth, would you not take that opportunity? If you're the virtuous and kind person and say; "I would never step on the backs of my co-workers for personal enrichment!" That's exactly why you aren't at the top. TC and his gaggle of sycophants DO NOT GIVE ONE SINGLE SH-T if my, yours or anyone else's families lose their homes, can't afford their childs care or can't afford that big shiny toy this year. They don't care. Every single one of us could leave GF today and they'll all still be wealthy to the point of gluttony. This is the capitalist dream. Eventually a very few own everything.
100% perfect way to say it - miscalculated strategy is exactly right. Our leaders are not good at business. Not even a little. They are good at faking it and making up the appearance that they are but it’s a facade and the reality of their business talents is starting to raise to surface now. Really it’s wide spread throughout the company. For example look at all the managers. Nearly all of them are not good at managing. They never have been trained or received any education in managing and it shows. Then some get promoted to director or higher positions and the situation gets worse. They are all mostly the funkys of the industry and it’s all starting to really rear it’s head now that we went public
GF has no niche or differentiation is 100% accurate and that is a huge problem for us. In the past, GF purchased an industry leading RF business from IBM which they have slowly ki-led and let the competition catch up and even pass us due to lack of investment and outsourcing resources. Our 12nm offering is dismal, basically no customers want it because we didn't invest in it instead in 22nm FDX. Our BCD technologies are average or even below average at best. Our SiPh technologies are way behind companies like Intel, etc .... While the ship is sinking GF is out celebrating on social media, they are building a device team in Bulgaria with a bunch of newbies. How ignorant are the leaders at GF to focus on cost savings only in a time where they have nothing differentiated and the competition is going to ki-l us. I just can't believe we are led but such an incompetent set of fools who are cashing in on their stock options and RSUs while the company is quickly sinking!!!!!!! The Board of Directors better make some changes very quickly before the ship sinks too much and it is too late to save it!!!!!! It is time (unless CEO and SLT replaced) we all consider jumping ship and quickly or else go down with the Titanic.
GF is already dying as it has no niche. Top leaders are fighting nm fight. Bad and mis calculated strategy from GF is showing its effect and sinking the company.
