Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Baker Hughes Hates Americans

At least CTO does, which will be evident when they start to realign staff across regions ( really this means heads roll in the USA to cut costs, nothing more). They must reach 150 million in cuts so the fat cats can get their bonus while the rest of the American employees wonder if they're safe or will get laid off. I've got news for you all, your chance for a future @ Baker Hughes is slim.

@OP I’m pretty sure BH hates everybody. Anyone who has ever interacted with HR can confirm this.

BH went from bad to worse after it was spun-off. They kept all the lethargic GE yes-men in management and combined this with O&G culture. What an awful place it was to work. Glad I’m out of there.

If I see a CV from someone currently at BH I’ll do what I can to get it to a hiring manager. My advice to everyone is to get out of O&G.

Don’t be fooled into believing that the axe is only coming down on the Home Boys, because cuts are happening across the board just now, & the UK is also in the firing line.
The only thing the Chiefs have left in their tool box is the hump & dump strategy to prop up the share price, because making profits from quality products that potential customers really want seems to have eluded them.
So to summarize, if the US is up for the chop, you won't be alone.

I checked las week, all available positions are for India, KL and Eastern EU. Is Baker Hughes closing operations in the US? I will start by selling my stocks before it plummets!
