I really regret doubting myself so much and really believing that the manager's criticisms were justified. As time went on I was getting more and more stressed to the point of complete burnout. I can only imagine how many more people here are being convinced by managers every day that their job is easy when it is actually not easy at all and that they can and should do better…… It's a terrible way to squeeze someone.

This is the easiest job i ever had. Zero stress. The part that su-ks is having to be there all the time. But i believe you could train a monkey to do it

When are RR employees going to start working and quit crying around ? I’ve never seen a job where so many “adults” cry around about every single thing they have to do. The job is so easy yet you think you deserve to be paid like surgeons. I could spend the day at a preschool and hear less whining. Quit complaining or leave.
Saw same post on the Uprr layoff page. Kind of an odd post . Maybe he is a serial poster ( just joking) on various layoff . com places.
I'm guessing the poster is in mechanical and peter is in t&e as a conductor , you are not just getting paid for the work you do but also what you have to know and the responsability that goes with it , sure it's not that hard to run a train but knowing exactly where you have to stop , hitting a car and ki-ling someone , making a mistake and ki-ling a whole town and lets not forget about the su----e by train you can't control but have to live with, yeah the job might be easy but not the life.
I believe it's an easy job. The hard part is being away all the time. But as far as work, its the easiest job i ever had. A lot of down time and sitting around.
