Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Too stressful

Perhaps it's just me but maybe Fido has really become a stressful workplace for many of us here? I don't intend to let my health be damaged by everyday stress I experience working at this place.

Other companies have great benefits and better pay. Do not get stuck because of this. Fidelity thinks benefits count in place of pay.

As someone who left, got a 50% pay raise, and hasn't looked back, there's a world outside of Fidelity.
I have the same job, make almost 50% more, with literally almost the same benefits, and unlimited PTO. Fidelity is a great company but, if you're there a while and stressed out, don't hesitate to look elsewhere. The world is huge.

How much are you willing to sacrifice for the pay/benefits the company offers? That’s the question. I’ve known many who have had to take anti-anxiety meds, take leaves of absence, feel bad about how much they drink etc - stemming from the unending and increasing pressure. There’s a big world out there outside Fido but if you can find your niche, the company pays well and has great benefits.

Try to enjoy your day off. :) take a deep breath. Do something for yourself today. All work situations are temporary.
