Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Leadership and in person collaboration

Walt recently said at a town hall that being fully remote would come with an inherent career ceiling, and that leaders need to be with people, which is something I don’t necessarily disagree with, and was prepared for some form of RTO…..so now I’m wondering that means for directors and MDs at locations that have been closed? Career dead end unless you want to live in Colorado or Texas??

So leaders need to be in an office to collaborate? Wow. So I’ve been doing it all wrong for the past 10 years with glowing performance reviews. What was I thinking?

Good news! There is life after Schwab! Plenty of good jobs, careers, great people. It's really not the best thing out there, as much as you want to believe that it is.

Yeah you will be next to get laid off. What Schwab will do is tell you to relocate or to take a package and walk.
