The distribution of work has become very problematic. There are people who try their best to look like they are working hard, but in fact they have almost nothing to do. On the other side, there are those who are overwhelmed with work and more is being added to their plate daily. It seems to me that the distribution of work here has never been more unfair.

Too many people who’ve been there 25 years, will only communicate via front door requests, and would be better suited at the local DMV
Couldn't agree more; this is the main reason I left a bit over a year ago. Since I went to an even larger company, I am beginning to wonder if this simply a "big company" thing: lots of "fake work", difficulty getting the "real work" done because of bureaucracy and incompetence.
I agree, when I need to turn the sc--w and someone else owns the screwdriver, its very difficult to get anything done.
It's hard to do anything when it takes people on other teams months to click a bu-ton that I need them to click.
