Thread regarding Belk layoffs

I want what u are smoking, & if u believe this I'll sell u some beach front property in Dallas TX. Some of the biggest names have pull from this company. Or u must be current Manger for the company

@kqb. Maybe people are leaving because belk is rampant with people like you that don't really see whats going on. Because we are not happy with the way it is run does not mean that we don't work hard. To me what you are saying is so much more toxic because its so condesending. And not the truth. Only your opinion. I'm glad things are good with your job and hope your deniel continues to work for you .

@bws+.Your post is good in theory but that's not everybodys reality at belk. I am the kind of person that works hard and always does my best. I have always been a top performer at belk but and I love my position and just recently I was cut to 2 shifts while a new hire is getting all the hours. When I spoke with my manager all they could say was "We love you here we just don"t have the hours'. Which is not true they are told to give the hours to the people that make less. So your theory is a little naive. I always give 100 percent and I love a challenge. Also it is not just me that it happening too. I don't feel bitter about it. Just realistic. Giving my all does make me feel better but how can you sleep better when you give your all and you can't pay your bills. And yes I am looking for something else.

Current Belk employee here. I have been with Belk going on 2 decades now and the only thing I have learned is that I may have destroyed my life by having been with this company for so long. They are liars. They are discriminatory. They could never argue consistency in a court of law. Want to win at Belk? Be so bad at your job that they don't want to call you out and embarrass you and your life will be so easy you don't have to do anything at all. They will just have everyone else make up for your lack of performance. All you have to do is show up.

People are leaving because of the toxic stuff you are spewing. Again if you are so unhappy then find something that you don’t have to apply much work to. It’s only toxic if you allow it to be. If you apply 110% and know you are doing all you can do, nothing can change that. I wish you luck in finding what will make you happy.

If Belk is so great why people are leaving? If Belk is so great why we work in a toxic and hateful pathetic company? If Belk is paying competitive rate why we can’t make a living? Stop lying as you breathe and wake up folks? Don’t peee in my pocket then trying to convince me it is raining hard! I love to work in this beautiful and sweet friendly paradise! God have mercy on my soul!

I have waited for someone to post this. Belk has the same opportunities that all other companies are going thru right now. Not enough associates, not enough hours in the budget. But some of us love what we do, we are the ones who rise to the challenge, we are team players and wants Belk to succeed. Also some of us are paid well and are grateful for the opportunity to have a job that we personally feel grateful for and will continue giving 110%. When people complain this much, it does make me think that they couldn’t handle the challenge or thought during these times they don’t have to work so hard. Giving your all, should make you sleep better and feel respect and pride in yourself.
