Forced RTO - Let's Organize

We seriously need to work together to fight the change. There is no actual reason to force us back. Let the people who want to go in, go in and let the rest of us who perform well stay remote. I perform exceptionally well working remotely and I refuse to drive over 2 hours a day roundtrip to an office to do EXACTLY what I can do from home.

I purchased a home over an hour away from the office due to receiving the approval to work from home 100% of the time. I would never have done so if I knew they would stab me in the back. Fu-k Schwab and fu-k the EC. They preach seeing through the client's eyes but don't give a fu-k about seeing through our eyes. Actions have consequences, let's make them pay.

We need to organize to bring change. If they don't budge, we need to resist and not go back. Us licensed professionals have the leverage, but only if we work together. They can't afford to lose us and they don't think we will stand up for ourselves.

Now, let's figure out what to do.

@2zgd+1nnaIl76 - “look dude if you want to have a lunch then go to an employer that offers lunches.” Or he could stay here and petition with the rest of the disgruntled employees to get lunches reinstated. Why do you care random guy? You’re complaining about people complaining. This dude wants to change the policy in a way that doesn’t affect you whatsoever. Admit it, you’ve just gotten so used to being stepped on that someone even speaking out anonymously triggers your learned need to defend the business decision made by people who wouldn’t recognize if you dropped dead today.

Find another job or suck it up and go to work. You never signed anything that said remote work was 100% guaranteed. You still have a choice, you just don’t like that you are being forced to decide. The professional environment is not Burger King my friend and you don’t get things your way. You don’t like the decisions, leave. You don’t like the paycheck, leave. You don’t like the company, leave. Best of luck and the decision to RTO is across industry so good luck finding a remote job elsewhere.

You received approval to be 100% remote with no indication that you’d ever be expected back? Sorry, calling bullsh-t on that.

Everyone needs to call in sick first day of October, that’s my plan.

Someone make a discord and just get this over with. I am tired of Schwab doing this without answering to all of us.

I seriously do not understand why people act so ugly about colleagues that find value in working remotely? If working in a service center works for you then have at it. If someone can find affordable housing far from a service center and get their job done at home then great.

The angry people working from the office confuse me.

Good luck I heard someone in our department got written up for verbally talking about the RTO choice and their rejection of their exception request.

@kcd+1nnaIl76 Not with that mentality. It's just like voting...one vote doesn't really matter much but collectively if we do something about this we can force change.

sorry, but realize that you're asking for a lot, and your own fight should also be other people's fight, in other words be ready to sacrifice something of your own for the greater good
