It just dawned on me. Could the hiring spree from 2012 to about 2017 all been a ploy? If you look at Linked In those announcing they've been laid off are mostly 20+ year employees and 10 or less year employees. Almost one for one. Could Ford have hired do many a few years ago to have sacrificial lambs?
We all know that if they could magically just fire all pension eligible employees they would. They have wanted out from under the pension liability for 2-3 decades now. Could all the new faces 6-10 years ago been a plot to then start that process but try to keep it from being apparent?
When I hired in a few years ago it was a huge hiring class. Took up a big conference room in WHQ. About half was FCGs. That sticks with me.
2nd, they aren't fooling anyone. Everyone knows that they are trying to sc--w people out of their pensions. Thus the lawsuits for the last couple of big layoffs.
It all makes sense now .....
