Any word on when central checkouts are coming (as announced with ISM/Inspirational/Experiential store layouts) Has your store started? Seems like we're losing registers every month.

Lord and taylor did this move before its went under..
We’ve had central checkouts for a few years now. I think customers have gotten used to it, other than there being no one to turn to in intimates and no open fitting room there. The RTW central checkout has finally been accepted by our customers and colleagues since it’s right next to the parking lot and the windows have been tinted.
My store doesn’t have a central checkout area and unfortunately, we won’t get one because we treat the ready to wear department as though it is the central checkout area. It always has to have at least one person working in it while other departments don’t have anyone working in them. Therefore, most customers end up in ready to wear to be taken care of and management is okay with that.
I actually like centralized checkout layout better then random and registers sprinkled within the departments.
We’ve had centralized checkouts for about 2 years
In our store there is always someone at checkout and if not a manger stays put till they find someone to fill in.
It is kinda ridiculous that there are 5 registers but only 1 colleague but at least I know someone is always there
My store has centralized registers already for 3 years. It’s the worst idea ever. Customers sometimes don’t want to walk far to pay especially when there are call outs or when one colleague is ringing.
We’ve had them for over a year now. We never have enough colleagues to staff. It’s usually 1 colleague, maybe 2 on the weekends. What looks worse…1 register with 1 colleague or 1 colleague with 4 registers?
