Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

work that...quits

"We now see hybrid work taking shape to varying degrees. Some of our associates have been collaborating in-person (in office or travel), actively engaging with each other multiple days per week, some are coming in 1 day a week on average, some are only occasionally coming, and a portion of the population doesn’t come into the office at all. Our data shows 60% of North American associates are coming in 1 day a week on average. We acknowledge the trend may look different across our various global markets, so we’re setting a consistent framework."

wow - the research they've done on productivity from home is outstanding. Google, Facebook and other creative companies are copying PepsiCo's research as we speak.

The 4 -Cs, the great 5, the 26 letters of the alphabet, the Jackson 5, Charlie's angles.. who gives a f**k.

create - I work in support
connect - I use Zoom. Wait, I'll commute to the office for 9+hrs a week and send smoke signals so I can further increase my carbon footprint. Pep+ ya right
collaborate - Log a ticket
celebrate - I haven't gotten a new job yet but will make sure to celebrate when I do.

Amen to quiet quitting. Lol

Anyone who stays behind will be royally screwed because they will not be filling those positions anytime soon. Your best bet is to update that resume!

Have you ever thought they may want you to leave? We have laid off in October before maybe they want everybody back for a reason. Most of our supervisors work from home as well so why the sudden change of heart?

This is how they oust their high-tenure, high-pay, skilled workers (who knows they can find another remote job easily, unlike those on thin ice who will fold to the mandate)

Without having to pay out their hefty severances.

It's a quiet layoff, here's to quiet quitting till September.
