Credibility is already blown with the most obvious spin of old market share numbers last week.
While anyone paying attention knows Avaya, operating as Avaya post Lucen/Nortel, has never been honest about it's baseline business, there is now black and white data that proves they are indeed lying.
Once you OWE lenders updated information and report updated baseline #s as recent as Dec 2022-- THEN -- you file for Chapter 11 resulting in more client departures, you can't suddenly return to using the old inflated numbers. Clients collectively see Avaya as a joke. They can double down all they want on bribing the Channel to support them, it ain't going anywhere. Clients own the decision. And clients do not trust Avaya, no matter how many Analysts they pay to try to influence a big client.
One of the things that makes Chapter 33 inevitable is that AM's Chapter 22 cost cutting strategy included laying off our few remaining R&D superstars in favor of people whose understanding of telecommunication technology doesn't go beyond two tin cans on a string.
