As RTO approaches, many of our hearts are heavy with the thought of returning to the office. Many of us have found solace and productivity in our home environments. While we respect diverse opinions and situations, I would like to propose a simple, quiet act of unity for those who share the sentiment of cherishing remote work.
What if, on October 2nd, we make a choice that speaks volumes through silence? Those of us who feel that our voices have been unheard, let’s log in from our homes and continue to work with the same dedication and productivity that we have demonstrated over the past years. No fanfare, no outcry—just a gentle whisper for change through our actions.
Our productivity will stand as a testament to the efficacy of remote work. Our meetings will continue as they always have, regardless of location.
I fully understand and respect if you are not in a position to join in this act. However, for those who can, imagine the strength in our collective choice. This is not about defiance, but rather a statement that our work and dedication are not confined to office walls.
The EC says that we have to return to the office for the “culture.” What if our culture was shaped by our choices, reflecting a community that values flexibility, balance, and respect for individual circumstances?
This act is not meant to be disruptive, but a peaceful demonstration of the value we bring from any location.
October 2nd could be the day our unity echoes through the corridors of our workplace, not with shouts, but with the hushed tones of dedicated professionals continuing to make a difference from the spaces they call home.
