@rrg Why just a few days? Follow the FnF plan and permanently quiet quit.

Everyone can “quiet quit” for a few days beginning Monday….

@fiq don’t bother wrapping up your work. In 2019 a dedicated tech spec worked an extra week trying to turn over everything she did. She was one of those that was the active SME for many different teams and actively coded and deployed solutions. Was it appreciated. Nope. Still to this day people in our department claim no turn over or doc exists and blame the tech spec. It is so pathetic that 4 years on they still try to blame someone no longer at the company.

@vzn+1niOubEN Advise you download all that stuff TODAY.
Things may have changed but there was no access previously, and it was a royal pain trying to get that info from HR.

Do you still have access to Life@Ford when it happens to pull paystubs, medical info, 401K info?

  1. Your manager will inform your colleagues (or at least they'll find out when your email/IM is shows as undeliverable).
  1. Your colleagues will quickly forget you even exist once you're gone (and as far as those you're actually friends with, I would think you already have their personal contact information before getting laid off in order to keep in touch).
  1. I repeat, why on earth would you want to "wrap things up" for a company that has kicked you to the curb? Let them worry about cleaning up whatever mess is left behind.

I wouldn’t mind being able to inform colleagues, say some goodbyes, and just wrap things up in general.

If we’re all working from home that day, they’ll have to wait until after the kiss-off meeting to shut off our VPN.

You will lose access actually BEFORE you are notified.

You will have to surrender your laptop, badges, cellphone (maybe) right away…

I’m sure JF will start the day Monday with another heartless company video as his eyes follow the teleprompter and tells else this is for the success of the team. Then he’ll go out and do a few donuts in a Dark Horse to let off a little steam.

SIRP'ed last August. Had a 10 min meeting and was told my function was no longer required. Lost all access within about 30 or so min, don't remember exactly. Email with separation details was sent to my private email account. 22 years of work all went poof in 10 minutes.

That should be: OR will they be allowed to finish the work day?

Last august, 15 min meetings had started showing up on the calendars as soon as Sunday night. Some got it the next morning. At 7 am Farley made an announcement via prerecorded video, then the meetings started where people got the news.
