Glassdoor reviews show 4.2 /5 which is better than most O&G places. I am a new graduate at a different company so I wanted some perspective

If you’re of the correct special category they’re trying to fill the quota on, you’ll do great. Otherwise, you’re just one of the disposable herd.
The company is soul destroying and the executives are all micro-controlling hypocrites. There are very few leaders and even fewer decent managers and supervisors. But the brown nosers are rewarded well.
Or you can go to a small company and actually explore for oil. But pay will be less, benefits won't be as good, you may get laid off more frequently during bad years. . . or company could hit big oil and you are in on the ground floor and make a career out of being a pioneer. . .. .pick your poison.
Right, wrong, or indifferent, I ended up at COP and have plenty of vacation, strong work/life balance (ie any work beyond 40 hours a week is a difficult week), and we have a pinball machine at work. I don't know if I would choose this same path if I could do it all over again, but I am here and depending on my mood that week, this is a great place to work or a soul zapping time suck.
Previous poster nailed it. You’ll be doing the same thing over and over but be told how cutting edge and inspiring the work is. The pay and benefits are good though. Just don’t expect to grow a career.
Boring. Uninspired. Contrived. Rigged. Soulless. Mediocre at best. You can work on any number of near identical projects in the EagleFord, Bakker or Permian. All acquired properties. No organic growth. The best mentors left or were run off years ago. Your supervisor will be unqualified and will compete with you. COP is lower tier at best.
