Hey guys! Is it just me or has work really slowed down? I have only about 10% of the work I had a year ago while most of work I did then is now sent offshore to India.
I'm not complaining but bored at work. Also my manager is like mentally not there. He just goes in the office and closes the door. I mean like who totally does that?
Is September the day?
Sue Nokes? Thanks for making me sp-t up my soda.
BREAKING: Sue Nokes was cut. HOLY. FU----G. SH-T.
Not in this case. Tom has wanted to retire, built a home in Florida, and had a timeline in mind for a long time. Others have been more likely nudged out, like Brian King. He cares too much about people for Ulf's taste.
T-Mobile resource planning, quota teams, and marketing managers decide if you’re performing or not.
Unless you’re in outside sales you do not control your destiny.
SVP do not “retire” they are asked to leave and are given huge payouts to do so.
Expect more by years end.
And it begins. Pre Ulf's meeting, there is an announcement of Tom Ellefson's retirement as SVP of the Northeast.
The area model has been developed by legacy T-Mobile leaders and was conceived long before any reductions started. In fact, early iterations showed a potential increase in headcount for some functions. One region has mirrored a model that more closely resembles Sprint, true and unfortunate. Others did not, thankfully. The area model itself does not enable reductions. Market teams would have been subject to reductions regardless. All teams are subject to reduction targets Technology wide. Employee notifications are expected to occur in October. Get ready and stay ready as it is largely based on performance along with some role eliminations and demotions, but the cuts are deep enough that nobody is 100% safe.
T-Mobile is going the way of Sprint and has already started rearranging personnel to meet some BS goal of having an Area structure across the Regions. There WILL be layoffs and they WILL happen in September and those in technology will be the prime target. Expect more of the management team to either be laid off or demoted. Additionally, with the new area structure, there will be less of a need for frontline employees, meaning layoffs there too, but not to as high of an extent. Keep praying all you want, but it won’t matter as those pushing this BS only have faith in money and lining their own pockets
September sounds about right.
Keep on payroll until mid November.
Take the financial charge off for quarter/year, and use it for Q4 promotions.
Those free iPhones aren’t really free after all.
There will be no more layoffs this year. I place my full faith and trust in The Lord to guide Mike and Deanne to bring the blessing to our people.
Happy to see that day to come, collect check and retire soon, love it
Late Sep into early Oct. Enterprise wide. Anything else you here is either in addition to that or not actually true.
It'll be before then. Then prob another wave just before Christmas. Be prepared, always keep the resume up to date ready to go.
My guess is there will be outsourcing and rebaging of current employees. That way there are no layoffs and they don't have to pay severance. The outsourcing company will determine the resources that they need. That's how Sprint did it last time.
The layoff could come in earlier than Sep..Better to get ready anytime
Nestor Canto (BK's replacement) has started shuffling around VPs to new roles. Expect chaos.
So the fall would be the point in time when Neville, Abdul and Brian King make their exit. And Ulf/Nestor/John Saw can come in and cut staff at the direction of Mikey boy.
The reality is the biggest expense a company has is Labor. So, if you want to decrease cost, you cut labor.
