Regards COBRA - you have up to 2 months to sign up post termination date and its retroactive - so god forbid you have an accident over the holiday weekend, you could enroll in COBRA and it would cover back to your last MDT day. That said, MDT COBRA coverage is very expensive, with no company subsidy, so better to look around.
Same situation. Healthcare benefits have lapsed as of the end of the month and haven’t heard from anyone about the subsidized COBRA. Hope no one gets sick or injured this 4th…
Termination date was two weeks ago and still waiting for severance agreement to be sent. Received last paycheck and unused PTO on my termination date. Dealing with ASKHR via email is a joke, they don’t understand the simple question of “when will my severance agreement be sent to me?” Just responds closing the case stating it will be sent after your termination date! Way to go Medtronic! Still screwing over the employees that have worked for you for years! No info sent about benefits yet either. How about hiring capable people in the United States who can understand a simple question via email!
My 60 day non working term date was 3 days ago. My email said it may take several weeks to receive my separation agreement to sign & review. Severance would be “when administratively possible” after signature but “should follow a payroll cycle”. Unacceptable! They’ve had 60 days to get my separation agreement ready and it should have been received on my term date. When will I receive my bonus & what’s the percentage? Haven’t heard anything about this or my unused PTO. My insurance terminated 3 days ago..,where’s my info on signing up for Cobra? Just not right!!
I received my paperwork this morning (2 days after termination date), so I would guess yours is coming any time now. As far as I can tell they won't process the severance check until you sign all of the paperwork, and then it probably gets processed in the next pay period. I was a hiring manager, and all pay activities/bonuses/start dates/etc had to be aligned to the pay periods, so this is probably similar.
Yea I hear they are calling it a special incentive now. The termination say MIP.
Wouldn’t put it past MDT. In anycase the final check won’t be paid until you sign the separation agreement (which os two weeks after the termination date) and than at the next most convienent pay period.
Same with cobra…not eligible until the do their paperwork
When I was laid off in 2021 my last paycheck was July 9, then got the severance two weeks later, July 23 so it tracks with what they are telling you.
My guess is they only cut checks every two weeks, if that helps explain it.
I'm sorry you've been laid off. Your life will get better, a LOT better, as time goes by.
Did you ask them if you will be receiving a discretionary incentive for fy23? I am wondering if they are using that term to sc--w you guys. I'm sorry MDT is so messed up.
