200+ R&D layoffs. No further layoffs planned for R&D
I heard Development got hit today too. We need to lose lots of management vs losing those who really get the work done. One letter sent of today said next wave is Q3. Do I believe it…not really.
They are providing a 30 day notice and then 30 day payout. Warn act kicked in, so it’s still 60 days of pay, but broken up differently. Then there’s prob some severance for YOS.
Severance is usally based on years of experience at the company-I heard some people were getting until Oct.
Based on email from interim CEO, Doesn't seems management will wait for 6 weeks for another wave of layoffs.
May we use this forum to post job title, how long they were at Illumina for and what the severance packages are looking like?

A lot of Foster City was either laid off or asked to relocate. Waves are happening, some might be done after break.
Haven't received the official severance package yet, but it was mentioned I'd only get 1 month severance.

I heard of layoffs inR&D, Medical Affairs, and Finance. No word from colleagues in Marketing n commercial. Very sad times at Illumina when we should be celebrating the companies 25th anniversary and getting ready for summer holidays.
