Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Life is better outside of 3M

I'm writing this only as advice to those who hesitate to leave here because they fear a new beginning. You are not alone, there are a lot of people who are actually afraid to start somewhere new.
I've been through that myself, it was a hard decision to make but there is a life outside of 3M! I feel like a new person now, without as much stress and much more valued. The only thing I regret now is that I didn't leave this much earlier!

Hr not doing their job? Shocker!
Have u seen their leadership and the layers below. D-mb and d-mber look like einstein and newton by comparison.
Zozo should be committed.

Couldn’t agree more with your comment. I left 3M HR because of the toxic culture of the company and how I was seeing employees treated during layoffs. No way I’m going to be an enabler of that cr-p.

When you promote the WRONG people, you start losing your BEST people.

Totally agree, there is life outside of 3M. Internally there is a toxic culture and lack of value towards employees. Don't be afraid of change, it is a natural thing. Embrace it...

@oiw+1neA6aMH Sorry you found yourself in that type of worse off situation. I would recommend you keep looking for something better. You deserve that much for yourself.

I left because of the stress level and hours and my new job is more stressful for less pay. Believe it or not, not all companies are better than 3M.

115% true, stop working for evil Corp. You would be surprised how nice it is to work for anyone else, especially some one who isn't self sabatoging or deciding which limb to burn off

I've been through that process myself and 100% agree. Don't ever be afraid to do what's best for you and your family (mentally, physically, and financially).
