JF road trip

JF posted on LinkedIn about his road trip in F150 Lighting. He must not have much else to do. Wasn’t a road trip what the Deltas did in Animal House when they hit rock bottom?

Farley is a farce.

And shame on Paul W. Smith. Ford just be a sponsor of his program.

@4tmw+1nZLdDpP JF surely is the master spin master and con-artist. Oh yeah Ford owners are such superior humans socializing while waiting 2 hours for a charge. He is just trying to convince people it is normal and virtuous to wait 2 hours to charge a tank and pay more to charge than you would pay for a 5 minute stop at a gas station.
Next he will try to con Biden and Kamala to join him in a caravan EV trip, for the good of the country and mankind of course, wink wink.

While driving home from Ohio Wednesday in a 2017 Ford Fusion, Paul W. Smith had JF on the air discussing his drive in the F150 Lightning. I think the statement JF used in regards to the question regarding charging the vehicle was, he sees a phenomenal thing happening while waiting for the charging cycle; he said people socialize amongst one another. Though, he stated, Tesla owners stay in their vehicles watching movies or using social media. He says Ford owners are simply the best people to wait around with at charging stations.

Paul W. had no serious questions like how many engineers were let go or how does he think he can sell vehicles if there's no one left making enough money to afford them. Nothing about warranty issues either. Paul didn't even toss any softball questions at him. It was just his praise towards JF's awesome abilities running the Ford company and JF being a great car guy.

People are so misinformed these days. About so many things.

@2yaj Except for JF gamed the system by sending out techs ahead of his trip to ensure all of his carefully selected charging stops had functioning charging stations and scout photo ops. Then OMG this is so easy and everything is sunshine and rainbows. John Q Public isn’t as gullible as JF thinks they are. People can see thru the BS. Just another act of desperation from a failed Ford exec.

Unlike the negative comments here, I will say JF's road trip is brilliant and a great idea to connect with our customers and even us employees. Great way to prove to those skeptical customers that BEV's are viable as a daily vehicle or a road trip vehicle.

I plan on following this adventure on social media and so should every employee.

Any parent that drives their kid around the country for activities has no desire to road trip in an EV. How many chargers have you seen at the ice arena? What about out at the soccer fields? How about at the gymnastics venue? Surely you saw some in the parking lot at the swim meet. Last thing I want to do after spending the day watching my kid play a couple baseball games is try to find a charger or worse yet, come out to the parking lot to find a dead EV. Time is money and nothing is more reliable than an ICE vehicle.

If you are planning a road trip and need a good excuse for it to run a few extra days then taking an EV is a good idea. If you want to be on time and reliable go ICE ice baby.

So, he drove from Sawn Jose, CA to Las Vegas, about 550 miles. Took him three days. When I do a road trip, we usually travel about 400-500 miles per day. So a day trip takes three days if you drive a Lightning. (AI spell check tied to fill in Lighter instead of Lightning 🤣🤣🤣.)

If you build it, they will come. Unfortunately, the dealers are still waiting. Nobody’s coming. Nobody wants them.

Did Jim Farley have a Harbor Freight generator/F150 Lightning range extender in the back of the truck?

OH BOY!!! if JF is driving a lightning I feel very confident and enthused to go out and buy one Because his opinion is so valuable to everybody. After all, he’s smarter than everybody else, just ask him he’ll tell you. look at the fine job he’s doing with the company, stock price, profits, morale of his employees, on and on and on. so I feel very enthused by almighty royalty driving a lightning to run out and buy one . Not.

While lightenings sit on dealer lots with no buyers. JF should buy a couple hundred on his bonus.

He needs to let his wife take a road trip in the Lightning. Will he feel safe letting her try to charge the Lightning in the middle of no where? If not, then how does he expect customers to buy one.
