The rest will have to stay and continue to deal with this bullsh-t. It's not the win many think it is.

Interesting. I was laid off and my role is being backfilled since I saw an ad already.
I know 2 others laid off and there were job postings for their roles since April. They are laying off the high pay people.
The other issue with getting denied volunteer layoff/severance is they can save you for a list of future layoffs or hold it against you...that would be my concern.
@rwt+1nZLDSvx Very telling that so many people want to make for the exits. Can’t imagine those denied a severance are going to have a long-term incentive to stay.
Most of the fiber requests were denied, they're only approving volentary separations if the role is not going to be backfilled.
They did. Did you not see the email with a link about the lay off announcement ? It was sent to everyone. The link took you to the site talking about the announcement where they also informed people about voluntary separation. There were people on the Fiber side that took the buyout and some were here for 15 years.
All I'm saying is, if they ask for volunteers I'll raise my hand.
