Layoffs in SWA and Advice Roles

Has anyone heard about any layoffs in SWA or other advice roles? They are projecting that this area of the business will be a long term revenue generator, and have said that advice solutions is going to be their focus for the future. Unless I’m missing something, advice based roles like SWA would be safer correct?

Client facing roles are always the safest place to be. With SWA, clients are paying ~0.80% in AUM fees, and they’re busy. SWA is probably the safest job at Schwab.

There should be cuts in SWA also - some real boneheads work in that area - who cares that it is called Schwab Wealth Advisory - is that why they just redid their representatives - to give people with over 1 mill a Wealth Advisor - I am sure those people don't need knuckles heads helping them

Actually - they should be looking at ALL areas - there is fat and uselessness EVERyWHERE

Only area of the business that won’t be cut.
