My manger starts acting a little secretive after the layoff announcement..he used to include me in all emails and communication from the business partners or technology teams..now all of a sudden he stops doing that..is it his insecurities with the announcement? As he does nothing productive apart from taking credits of our work.

Most of the managers, up to Director, and first level MD, are not in the know. Look at how all this is being run. The total sheeeeet show we had today. PL leader meeting, read from a cue card, informing of the delay in RTO till January. At this stage, I would say the EC doesn't even know, because they are flying by seat of their pants. Total sheeeeeet show.
Hard to say. Mine was also being “weird” but since they’re a good friend of mine I called them on it and they said they’re just as worried, brushing up resumes, and know absolutely 0. I told my employees the same “I know what you know and will be as transparent as possible.” good luck out there.
One of the other MDs in my group is in town next week and is meeting with me on Monday. If it is my time, it’s my time. My direct supervisor has also been acting odd since a week or two ago. Wish me luck.
My manager is being shady AF since about two weeks ago.
Sure enough this week, 2 people that he buttes heads with frequently. Layed off.
As a Manager, I am worried too. If I am acting weird, it is not intentional.
Another possibility is this could all be in your mind... not saying this in a bad way. We are all under anxiety and stress from the situation. You tend to see patterns that aren't really there, because we look for them, and your mind reads too much into things that are just normal non-events.
I understand that NDAs are involved. They might be worried about inadvertently being exposed to legal liability.
impossible to say but it isnt a good sign
