We are not set for success. We have the worst leadership team and now we will be lead by somebody who has failed twice. A bad accountant will not be successful leading IT.

Zero IQ and Zero EQ just about sums up the ENTIRE CVE leadership team, including the ones who walk around pretending to have empathy, just to get ahead, those ones are the worst. At least the new boss is a straight sho-ter.
To connect with investors, it helps to have the financing background, so we find accountants and lawyers follow a path from CFO to CEO. Then they put their cronies (most of which are also accountants and lawyers) into leadership positions they have no business having. Partly, because they are incapable of holding jobs on Wall St. or Bay St., so they take care of themselves within the oil and gas industry, running good companies into the ground because they don't actually know how to operate a business. I have yet to work for a good company where the accountants and lawyers are in charge.
@2wzs+1nWEKE0u I could not agree with you more! have you seen who runs the ERP for us?
When it comes to ERP, it’s dramatic. “Decision maker” is not qualified or experienced person; not making right decisions and taking time ( thus money) . However, research and money is spent considerably given that 3rd party consultants, companies and educated folks will report to this “decision maker” ; they do the right thing. As a result, money is spent considerably and no major improvement is seen.
Agreed, accountants do not belong in IT but at least they get some formal education. Compare the resume of the CFO to the CIO’s
Accountants have no brain but just pay the bills…. Sorry to be rough but it’s a pain that Cenovus has been through. It continues. Accountants must stay away from ERP , period.
He gets the problem teams as a last chance to fix them and prove his worth.
