Every time Outlook dings my heart skips a beat
I feel the same way. I think it's inhumane what the company is doing to us with this. Layoffs are one thing, but this whole waiting game is something else completely. I'm guessing this is their way of making sure that those who remain don't complain too much. Ki-l our spirits and we're immediately easier to deal with, right?

No one is arguing the WHAT but discussing HOW everything is being handled.
This is my 6th job, with more than one at a BD. This is not normal behavior. Just because broken bones hurt doesn't mean a slap in the face does not hurt either. Layoffs are a fact of life, performing them poorly IS NOT
I just pray that I get laid off. My everyday affirmation has been in so grateful and thankful that I got a great layoff package. I wish it was voluntary. The internet has opened so many opportunities. No need to be chained to a desk working for Corporate America. It’s time that starting your own business becomes the norm.
Lol, is this your first job? Layoffs are part of work. Always have, always will be. This is far better than in many other firms were it’s truly out of the blue, and you’re literally escorted from the building.
I get the concern and have same feelings, but I’ve appreciated this extra working notice period. I am almost positive my role will be eliminated it’s just a matter of time. I’ve used this time to prepare for unemployment including saving as much as possible.
I’ve had my moments of disgust with this company over the last decade but this truly tops it all. They are disgusting for how they are toying with us, disgusting!!!! I’m currently looking for another job, I could never again be proud saying I work for this firm after the emotional and mental abuse they have put us through these past few weeks. It’s unnecessarily cruel, we have given so much and they sh-t on us like this. Disgusting.
