Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Being laid off is not the worst thing that can happen to you here

Of course, being laid off is usually a very stressful experience and I feel sorry for anyone affected, but I still think that it is certainly not the worst thing that can happen to someone here.

Those who are laid off get motivation, time and focus to find something better for themselves, while others continue to waste their time here. I think that's much worse.

@2frc+1nU8cPD4 You must be talking about the people who got fired because they were the fall guys for some one high up. Then they went to work for the company that was involved in the shady dealings. Am I getting warm...

It amazes me that people still don't understand the distinction between unfixed autocorrections and poor spelling/grammar.

It amazes me the spelling and grammar in the vitriol on here, but it speaks volumes of those posting.

I took the buyoit package. I'm actually relueved of the ever changing direction from management. Threats during our calls of your name showing up on some report. More folks in my department had worried about demarits for doing something wrong, thn focusing on customer care. I still cannot believe this is the same company I greatfully joined decades ago. Wishing everything the best in the coming weeks.

When you see many conflict of interest issues, shady money movement and you report it to the ethics hotline and nothing happens…. That’s when you need to leave. Or let’s take it one step back. When you have to call the ethics department with plenty of proof, that’s your que. Best of luck for those who survive the layoff and prayers for all that remain.

The wait for the layoff is worse than the actual layoff. Most will feel relief once the evil EMT is out of their lives.

True but companies like to hire laid off people because they can take advantage of the situation and low ball their salary. That's why it's always best to move on when you start seeing signs of distress in a company. Ie hiring of friends, family and the like, of people who have no business being hired. When all you see is yes people and sycophants, it's time to make your exit.
