Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

5 days?

Anyone heard anything legit? Seems like a lot are still doing less than 3 days - but with Mary's last mention of things changing, seems like 5 might be coming soon?

The cafeteria opening at the VEC must mean they expect more customers soon. ;)

They'll just replace the people they fire with people who are happy to come to this country and work for half the going rate. They'll be happy to work in an air conditioned office with water they can drink 5 days a week.

Americans don't appreciate what they have.

Fire them, then you'll get even less out of the people you made tired of working there. Then you can replace them with people with the same work ethic and less knowledge.

Count on it!
I look forward to seeing the people who played hooky walked out with their little boxes.

If people ignore 3 days, they'll ignore 5 days.

Then the SLT will have to decide if it makes sense to fire 90% of the employees for insubordination.

Today I parked right up front next to the "expectant mothers" parking.
A handful of people on the entire floor.
Do you think management is paying attention?
I think we will look back at this time later this year as "the good old days".

The people that did bother to show up will blame the people we haven't' seen since March 2020. And there are a LOT OF THEM.
