I'm worried about seeing more layoffs next week.

Oh c’mon anonymous, you must be an EMT member in disguise. We can shitpost for 5 minutes and keep looking for jobs the rest of the day. Honestly, who comes here to defend the EMT other than a member or one of their protected lackeys? The two week notice was not out of the goodness of their heart. They legal filed a plan to do layoffs with the government. Jay had to send the email to save face otherwise word would have just spread leakily through the whole company. His under kings and the VP class also gossip like middle schoolers. He couldn’t risk amazing name by having it get out that way.
@tav The 2 week notice gave everyone a head start to get resumes out and reach out to contacts to start lining up another opportunity. Best case scenario, you get a couple week vacation before starting a new job and you get a nice lump sum payout from Crown. If you're not taking advantage of this extra time to secure another job and wasting it stewing about how sh---y the EMT is, well that's on you.

A lot of the EMT seem to carry themselves as good charitable southern Christians. In reality they’re just the same kind of sc-m that occupies all of Wall Street. I know they probably read this board either 1) shocked that anyone could think poorly of them or 2) sickly enjoying their results. Either way I just wanted to write and remind them that they are reprehensible sinners. I forgive them as the book says I should, even though they’re probably still sinning by not even acknowledging wrong they’ve done.
The amount of money being wasted on PDI/EcoSys is mind blowing plus the controls organization they've built around these tools is so bloated and they don't add value.
after the call last week, I feel the 2 week waiting period is completely unnecessary. With a week still to go they have to have some idea of who will be effected because they need to get severance package ready with the final paychecks cut, PTO calculated, sign the RIF up for the assistance, notify managers and they have to do that for 750+ people! At least O.D. is thankful for the 2 weeks
A lot doom and gloom, the bottom line is Crown still has 7 billion dollars in revenue and earnings of a 1.6 billion..the company isnt going anywhere. There balancing the books by cutting people.. this should tell you all you need to know about the purple anagram.. people dont matter.. because if they did and the EMT would of would took on the chin and stood up to the Street
@cpx+1nSBm0SK That was done already. Network is also being affected by the layoffs. Plus Network was also affected in 2020. The Phoenix housed a lot of Towers Construction Services folk. That second floor will be a ghost town.
I’m sure they will take on network next. They closed down the Irvine office which is full of network individuals.
When it comes, it comes. Make sure to get contact information from coworkers your might want to keep in touch with, as well as any company contacts that might be necessary.
Your nights aren't the only sleepless ones... I'm sure the EMT can't help but wonder what company they will have left after this. Network is going to find out who it was that made the money they could so freely blow.
In six months, you will be glad you got off this ship; the EMT doesn't have the ethics or skill to keep it afloat.
I'm stressing over it enough that I can't sleep, which is not going to help me tomorrow at all.
