Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Support is being replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI)

What’s the news on support, who do the techs call? I heard if you call in for support, you now don’t get a human, you get artificial intelligence, having to ask a computer your question and it generates an answer. Has anyone anywhere known of support personnel being layer off, if so where?

The Guru team for Macys support is still in the US spread out throughout the country. Thank goodness as the Serbian team would have little knowledge of the account and really would not be much help. NCR likes to meddle in things they shouldn’t be involved in which definitely includes Macys. The 2 companies are like oil and water they don’t mix

The guru team was in Texas and they had a lab and different levels of support, they were using video in the lab to instruct techs with repairs, they had about 20 people in that office, they did have a couple Serbians come to their office to train a year or so a day, not surprised if the whole investment was thrown out to Serbia after the USA trained their replacements. Global support will all come from Serbia, they will get the languages figured out also, English is the easy one, but other language’s will also be replaced, the effort to create the knowledge base was the first clue, in the old days we had our notes, manuals, and brain, now their is so much information easily available, support is a lot easier, and yes, I was terminated a year ago after decades of service, the kiss arses and tattle tales are left, they will do anything to try to save their job, but in the end, they will be eliminated as well

A lot of the GURU teams are in Serbia now. Occasionally you will get a US person.
