Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Rob Thomas is the single most worse thing for IBM

Rob Thomas is the single most worse thing for IBM shareholders and employees. This id--t reads something on the internet and tries to shift the entire company toward it. He is the biggest scam artist ever. Make some more videos, and no one believe you.

To add to one commenter’s. Post, Rob actually looks much more like Ron Thomas from Matchbox Twenty. To add to another’s, Rob flew in on the corporate jet to help me close a deal with a a client and I thought it was a done deal after all of the pre-meeting prep work that I had to provide to his receptionist before hand. We lost the deal. He had no impact. People aren’t impressed by executives anymore. I should have brought in a YouTube Star and it would have gotten more admiration. I worked just as hard to get him to come to meet with my client as I did with my own dealing with the client and he failed to impress. He’s dry as a bone.

A few years back we had a GT10 deal that was over 2 years in the making. We were in the final hours of negotiations and this buffoon as the Executive Sponsor demanded involvement. In just 30 minutes with the client he squirreled the entire deal. The client bought 2 months later from the competition.

Tom at least understood Sales. Arvind is an id--t with zero Sales acumen. That why Rob Thomas is where he is and he su-ks. The whole Sales team hates his guts. Zero respect.

Not saying that Tom Rosamilia was perfect but it was interesting that he decided to retire from IBM this year after Rob Thomas got additional power. I will say a lot of people liked Tom as you can see from the numerous comments he got on his LinkedIn posting where he announced his retirement. I doubt Rob Thomas will have many fans when he retires someday. It’s interesting how people like Rob get promoted by Arvind. Tells me Arvind is a poor judge of character or he is just desperate.

Some of people assigned to key accounts and not all.

What never ceased to amaze me is the people they assigned to key accounts who were by no means go getters. They were the farmers who got luck on their side with big ELAs closing. Meanwhile the hunters were assigned the smaller accounts in the National Market and had to work their tales off just to get the customers to talk to them. Yet they get put on PIPs with Rob Thomas goal to have 100,000 new customers. I feel for the ecosystem teams who are the same boat with pie in the sky quotas and get PIPed as well.

@cdp

Absolute truth. I was assigned hard case cr-ppy accounts, and, following threat of PIP, I was RA’d.

And guess what? Those same accounts are still cr-ppy.

RE: "100% of staff do watson.x challenge"
That's 100% of IBM REGULAR EMPLOYEES. Contractors are not eligible to learn about the company's new "savior product." Been a contractor 10+ years (no regular IBMer, work 80 hours a week for me). The discrimination against and disgust with contractors has gotten worse ever since the "shoe queen" was CMO, around 2016. She's also coresponsible for colocation, the event that cleaned house of every IBMer who cared about the company and it's future. Now it's acquisition after aquisition; very little talent or motivation left in the company.

Is that attention seeking prat still there. Maybe the employees should mandate that if he doesn't make his plans he gets pipped and not a truck load of share options

by

Post ID: @krr+1nPIMCKE

Yup, he's just mandated 100% of staff do watson.x challenge, and the management tier is p*ssing themselves today to register like lemmings, all staff to signup as teams to play what ifs with watson. You couldn't make this sht up
