So. How does everyone that work in STS feel, going in to a potential day of doom.

None of us got laid off. We won't be hit hard until after TG3.

Tomorrow is today...any updates folks?
Friday is no longer the preferred day for layoffs. Lots of people out of the office and the current corporate speak is that it’s cruel to do on a Friday without access to HR or EAP resources to available ogre the weekend.
Early or midweek are now the “preferred” days for a layoff.
Budget decisions are due tomorrow.I’ve never seen schwab do layoffs on a Friday
It’s out of my control so I will not worry about it. If I had a choice, I would like to be laid off, which I know, is very strange for people to hear but with the way Schwab’s EC went about it I don’t think I can ever trust them again. I understand they have to make hard decisions because we are a public company but they are forgetting our main competitive advantage, the employees. That is what made Schwab a great place to begin with but now we will become Wells Fargo. It reminds me of the movie “A Few Good Men”, where Jack Nicholas yells “You want the truth!? You can’t handle the truth!” the way they speak to is now. After losing two family members during Covid I have learned that life is short and that I need to enjoy it sc--w hustle culture. The extra time of not commuting has allowed me more time with my family, I’m in the best shape of my life because I now have more time to go to the gym, I have more disposable income to fight off inflation, and overall my mental health was flourishing. Even if my number is not chosen tomorrow or in the next couple of month Im leaving. This just doesn’t work for me and I’m ok owning my tomorrow
I think STS is going to get hammered by this round of layoffs. I just have no idea when? Everyone is very tight lipped. When Walt and Rick had their update a few days back Walt was saying the work was just beginning but then Rick sent out his email with org updates for the business side so it seems things are churning right along.
