Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Buyouts?

Has anyone heard anything about company buy outs to long term employees? It wouldn't surprise me if they do as it would be a way for them to shave expenses and bring in cheaper labor.

Buyouts unlikely. They have no money (or so they say). Easier to just terminate for cause. “Because they don't want you”
Severance is not automatic. They have the power, only power you have is to leave.

Does anyone realize that NCR is bloated with too many employees and has too many redundancies? IT - too many employees and needs automation same with finance and other departments. Head count needed slashed forever ago. NCR is and has been mismanaged.

Buyouts? Maybe not in the US. Don’t know about other countries. Has it plus and minus. Ncr would probably only use such a thing in an NDA situation.

Buyouts for what? They aren’t going to do that when lay-off is a better option for NCR.

A buy out is the same as being terminated like I was after decades of dedicated hard work. What happens is you will be terminated fast with your boss and someone else, usually HR, it takes only a couple minutes. They immediately email you your severance package. From here out you deal with HR and the NCR lawyers which will threaten and bully you to sign the papers in 14 days or they threaten to retract their offer. There are rules about minimum compensation for different country’s and even states/ provinces. The union spells the severance out clearly in the contract, non union people are on their own, if you’re not sure, seek legal advice. If your thinking a nice buy out, it’s never going to happen like that, termination is how they do it, it’s essentially a layoff, but you are eligible for severance and unemployment after severance is depleted.

Just hold your horses. In the next several months you're going to see things you wont believe are happening courtesy of Mullet Boy and his henchmen.
Enjoy the last few days as NCR as you know it.
