Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Financials show Ford Next with ZERO REVENUE in all 2023

When do we pull the plug, cut the losses, and save $3 BILLION per year by eliminating Ford Next, FLV and CM?

There is no path to profitability for this group of 🤡s.

You can’t just look at gross revenue. You need to consider the adjusted factor revenue in which ford next is somewhat trending into the black. Analyzing the past few months, the adjusted factor revenue is looking quite promising although I’m guessing this is not what you wanted to hear. Many sides of the business set variances on the adjusted factor revenue to better forecast long term sustainability.

@jmu I THINK that when a customer purchases a new car they get a year of the subscription services for free like they do for Serius/XM. After the trial you have to pay and they are probably booking the free trials as "subscriptions". So, if thats true, then its just marketing tricks so that they can tell the media "look how many we subscriptions we sold".

Ford Next perspective from a news article in 2022.

I can only hope this leads to JF getting canned. He's done nothing but cause this whole company to go swiftly down the drain.

They keep saying we all need to "close the gap". Most of us aren't in positions to do anything about their gap. They could start by cutting from the top. That'll take care of the gap. But, they won't, and the ones who can't do anything about it will be the ones who suffer in layoffs.

Show your proof that 500,000 customers voluntarily subscribed to a service AND paid for that service. We will wait forever for that proof.

@hqf of course you never heard of them, CM is CEO of Ford Next’s alleged new business, “canopy.” It was announced January 2022, flopped at its debut at 2023 CES, STILL HAS NO ACTUAL PRODUCT TO SELL. Zero revenue but $3 BILLION in expenses, which cuts our bonuses. Are you okay with that?

And you missed the earnings call where Ford raised our 2023 profit guidance. Sorry to pour water on the trolls here. You either a) don't work for Ford or b) shouldn't work for Ford.

I see you conveniently did not comment on the success of our Ford customer experiences with data/software and subscription services. Of course make your comment more of a hit piece by omission of the positive points from the 2Q financial report.

Half a million subscribers. Unbelievable take rate for Ford Pro and subscriptions. This is all revenue AFTER the vehicle is sold. Now do you see why the total company transformation is happening?
