Inverted pyramid layoff? Are we getting a new CEO?

I'm confused as too the meaning of inverted pyramid layoff. Does this mean they are setting up for a new CEO? I met walt once and he was cool he can be relatable on a human level. I know these are stressful times and I can feel the worry. I hope things turn out all right. Sad knowing that there are people out there who do care in these hard times at the same time there people trying to throw others under the bus. Hopefully who ever has to make the final decision is using the proper metrics to gage an employees performance instead of basing it off word of mouth

The "inverted pyramid" line was a fib to calm the riots.

Judge them by their actions, not by their words. It is us against them. Ask what would you do for $ 24 million, I would fire my mother on Christmas day and so would Walt/Rick/faceless EC.

100% guarantee you the "inverted pyramid" line was a lie.

Question, why would they lie about something so obvious to prove wrong?
Answer, because they do not give an F. They are invincible as long as the stock price remains strong. Bold-face lies are proof of this. Schwab is just their business toy play thing and they care less about this company than you or I do after committing 20 years to our clients, they make their millions and will move on without a second thought.

Definitely Walt retirement to board. Id say 3 other EC retirements. They get parachuted out so well and it allows to fake throat to choke to external people. Do the bad stuff w this group and then replace them and start fresh.

If this were a true inverted pyramid we’d lose EC members, but they are untouchable so the inverted pyramid is a lie. Top will be untouched, upper mid and mid will be sla-ghtered, bottom will have minimal impact.

Inverted pyramid is the lie they tell to make the lower folks panic a little less.

Sure, they may cut a few near the top and save some big $$ on a smaller # of people, but it won't be anything significant. The vast majority cuts will be happening from middle level management and below.

Inverted Pyramid - cut the big salary guys at the top and very few people would need to be let go - sure you could do a little house cleaning but wouldn't need to cause so much chaos

WALT isn't the one deciding who leaves and who stays - he is delegating that down to the EC or below and we all wish we knew the process but maybe there really isn't one - which wouldn't be surprising

right... because that is totally how Schwab operates. Also, what does Walt have to do with any of this?
