Every conversation I have had with anyone doesn't seem to extend 1 to 2 years at most.
Looks like people are just sticking around to milk as many paychecks as they can, studying / preparing, and when the market is better , they will bolt.

@uwa+1nNhL9Ru So if the LCC Engineers can't afford the cars, who will buy them when they are not reliable and there are much better options, not to mention the high price point? Their rep in the USA between recalls and the cr-ppy way they treat people is not going to help them get the buyers they want. I have no sympathy, it is called reap what you sow.
Just waiting to collect my pension until next year and ill be gone.
By the way, retiring in the year in which you turn 55 gets you around the ‘rule of 55’.
So, you can retire at age 54 without penalty as long as you will turn age 55 within that same retirement year.
Sadly, is not up to them. Layoffs are an ongoing thing. Likely anyone planning on being here 1 or 2 more years will have that decision made for them.

Only reason I'm still here is the pension. Hopefully I make it another year is so I can make it until 55.
Those LLC engineers are having a great time. Too bad they can’t afford the ave Ford vehicle
I'm hoping for a 9 month parachute into retirement in September!
In the meantime, just like the guy in office space said, I'll do just enough to not get fired. 👍
True, because performance does not matter here.
Everyone is waiting to see what September is alike. No enthusiasm and initiative for any project at all.
